  The logo design must speak.
What makes a great logo? There's a lot to learn, and we've spent 30 years studying, absorbing and practicing award-winning logo design. We take everything said on this page very seriously because your logo, while it is such a "small piece" of design, steers the entire visual marketing of a company. Your logo acts as your company’s ambassador, and it will speak a message to your potential clientele—whether intended or not. At a glance, logo design must speak of your quality, longevity, credibility, and core mission. Since it enables quick customer recognition, it is ineffective to change one's logo too often before the public eye, so it must be on target from the start. But it is also better to redesign an ineffective logo—
once—rather than continue to communicate a negative impression which may turn away business.

The logo must be simple and readable.
Your company logo should avoid too much detail which may obscure
the message. Simplicity is always best. Consider the speed consumers
"read" advertising.

  The logo must stand out.
Template or clip-art "logos" have become popular recently. This trend does not scare us away—it only further reinforces what we've said all along: your identity must stand out in the crowd of 21st-century media bombardment. "Templated" logos, or logo designs that are created with a low level of creativity, simply add to the visual clutter and the eyes of the customer is desensitized to them. When a design that is truly remarkable comes on the scene, people turn a second glance—which may make the difference in another sale.

  The logo must be memorable.
Any form of advertising communication with your target markets must be memorable to your target audience. Stepping outside of the box in logo design can help achieve this end. Additionally, adding a new twist to a trite concept, or doing something "clever" in the design further stamps your branding identity in the minds of your clientele.

  The logo must be well-designed.
There are many more characteristics we could add here about the strength of a logo design, but suffice it to say all the elements of design and marketing considerations come into play. For instance: the use of vector graphics is critical for cross-application among varying media, avoidance of gradients, half-tones or photography as a part of the logo. The classic rules of graphic design—balance, rhythm, contrast, composition, etc.—make all the difference. And, of course, understanding your unique market means we've committed ourselves to guide our clients through marketing considerations by asking questions. Questions that give us a clear picture of your vision and the "climate conditions" in your specific industry. Every order includes a full "creative brief" which addresses the majority of these questions.
